• Subscription status and billing history (payment details are handled by Stripe and not stored on our servers).

Technical Data

• IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.
• Referral URLs and session duration.
• Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 8).

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
• Process your conversations through our proprietary AI models to generate responses.
• Manage your account and authenticate your identity.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Send transactional emails (account confirmations, password resets, billing receipts).
• Monitor and improve the quality and safety of the Service.
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms of Service.
• Comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your conversation content for targeted advertising, and we do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Your conversations are processed on MeetFriends’ infrastructure. We do not share your conversation content with third-party AI providers.

Your name, email, and account details are never included in AI processing — only the content of your chat messages and the context needed to maintain the AI Friend persona.

We share your information only in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party providers who help us operate the Service, including:

• Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management.
• Cloud infrastructure providers — Hosting, database, and storage services.

All service providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and use it only for the services they provide to us.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

We retain your account information and conversation history for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

• Free plan: Conversation history is retained for the duration of your account.
• Pro plan: Full conversation history is retained for the duration of your subscription.

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business interests (such as billing records, which are retained for up to 7 years).

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection / Restriction: Object to or request restriction of certain processing activities.
• Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, withdraw it at any time.

• Hashed password storage using bcrypt.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service. Specifically:

MeetFriends operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and, for material changes, provide additional notice via email or an in-app notification.
